Privacy Policy.

Effective October 20, 2026

Digipet is made by Steven Becerra, an individual based in California (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Digipet app and our website, digipet.com, why we collect it, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and how to delete it.

Questions about your privacy? Send us a message from Contact, at the end of this policy.

What we collect

You can read our website without an account, but to play Digipetyou sign in. We collect personal information when you sign in and play, turn on notifications, or contact us.

  • Account. Your email address, whether you sign in with an emailed code, Google, or Apple (if you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive the relay address). Our sign-in provider creates a wallet address for your account, which we use as an account identifier. We record the IP address you sign in from and how you signed in.
  • Your pets and creations. What you write for a pet (its name, personality, and topic), your pet’s room and outfits, and the bling you collect.
  • Prints and rugs. The pictures you upload for a print or rug, the words you describe one with, the pictures drawn from those words, and the names, descriptions, and 3D models made from them.
  • Chats with your pet. The messages you send your pet in its room, and its replies, so the conversation can carry on.
  • Play. Which world your pet is visiting and when, its care (feeding and wellbeing), and your token balance with a record of every token you receive or spend.
  • Gifts and invites. The gift links you make: which piece, when the link was made, and whether and by which account it was taken. Your invite code, the account of each friend who joins with it, and the tokens you earn for them.
  • Reports. When you report a piece, which piece it was and why, with your account. The owners you block are kept only on your device.
  • Usage. The screens you open and the features you use, whether you’re in the app or on the website on a phone or a computer, and the app’s version, with a random ID kept on your device. Once you sign in, these are linked to your account. On the website, we also see the country your connection comes from; we don’t keep your IP address with them.
  • Notifications. If you turn them on, your device’s push token.
  • Messages to us. The name, email address, and message you send with the Contact us form.
  • On the website only. The email address you leave on our waitlist, and anonymous page-view counts.

We don’t collect your contacts, your precise location, or health data. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose a picture for a print or rug. Selfies of your pet are made on your device and go only where you share them.

How we use it

  • To sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To run the game: keep your pets and their room, send them to visit worlds, let them chat, build your prints and rugs, deliver your gifts and invite rewards, and keep your tokens.
  • To send the notifications you turned on.
  • To answer you when you contact us.
  • To understand how Digipet is used, and to improve it.
  • To keep Digipet safe: checking the pictures and words you add, limiting abuse, reviewing reports, and enforcing our Terms.

Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on running the Digipet you signed up for, our legitimate interest in keeping it safe and improving it, and your consent for notifications and, where we ask for it, website analytics.

We don’t sell your personal information. The Digipet app shows no ads and doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

What other players see

A world shows only your own pets, so other players don’t meet them there. Others see what’s yours only when you share it:

  • Anyone who opens your pet’s page on our website sees its name and how it looks.
  • Anyone who has a gift link you made sees the piece’s name and a picture of it, until the gift is taken, taken back, or expires. The friend who takes it gets a copy with its name and description, and, for a print or rug, its picture. A gift doesn’t show your name or email address.
  • Your invite code tells no one who you are unless you say so. You see only how many friends joined with it and how many have earned you tokens, not who they are.

Your email address and your chats with your own pet are never shown to other players.

AI and the companies we work with

Digipet uses outside services to run. Each receives only what it needs for its part, under its own privacy terms.

  • OpenAI writes pets’ personalities, replies, and conversations, names prints and rugs, and draws the prints and rugs you describe. It receives the messages you send your pet; your pet’s name, species, description, personality, topic, and mood; the pictures you upload for prints and rugs, which it checks for unsafe content and names; and the words you describe a print or rug with, which it checks and draws from. A drawing is checked and named the same way as an upload before we keep it. Topics you write yourself are checked by OpenAI’s moderation service, and may be used to look up news for your pet to talk about. In the app, we ask for your permission before your messages, or the words and pictures you add, are first sent to OpenAI.
  • Tripo builds the 3D models of pets and bling from images we generate. It never receives your pictures: prints and rugs are built on our own servers.
  • Magic handles sign-in. It receives your email address, and your name and email address if you sign in with Google or Apple. Google and Apple are involved only if you choose them to sign in.
  • PostHog is our analytics service. It receives the usage described above, your account ID once you sign in, and a record of your sign-up and of the tokens you get or spend. Never your email address, your name, or your chats.
  • Ably keeps your token balance, pets, and worlds up to date live, using your account ID.
  • Apple Push Notification service delivers notifications to your device, using its push token.
  • Bunny stores and delivers the pictures you upload or have drawn for prints and rugs, under your account, and the images and 3D models made for pets and bling.
  • Our hosting and database providers store everything above on our behalf.
  • On the website only: Vercel hosts the site and counts page views. We may use the TikTok pixel on the website to measure our advertising, which some US state laws count as sharing for advertising; the analytics switch below turns it off. Neither runs in the app.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of Digipet, in which case we’ll tell you first.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, pets, creations, and chats with your pet: for as long as your account is open.
  • Pictures you upload for prints and rugs, and pictures drawn from your words: until you delete your account. Deleting a print or rug takes it out of your Bling, but the picture it was made from is kept with your account.
  • A copy you gift is your friend’s once they take it. It stays with them, picture and all, even if you later delete the piece or your account.
  • Gift links and invite records: for as long as your account is open. A gift that isn’t taken comes back to you after 14 days.
  • Usage statistics: for as long as your account is open. They’re deleted with it.
  • Conversations between pets in a world aren’t stored on our servers. They’re written for each player as they watch.
  • Your push token: until you turn notifications off, sign out, or Apple reports that it’s no longer valid.
  • Messages to us: up to 2 years.
  • Reports: for as long as we need them to review the piece and prevent abuse.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Database backups: deleted data drops out of our backups within 35 days.

Deleting your account

In the app, open the menu, tap Account, then Delete account. On the website, go to Account and choose Delete account. You can also send us a message while signed in to it. Deleting your account removes your personal data, pets, prints and rugs, the pictures you uploaded or had drawn for them, your gift links and invite records, and your usage statistics, and asks Magic to delete your sign-in with us. A copy you gifted that a friend has taken stays theirs. It can’t be undone, and any tokens you have are lost. We keep one scrambled code made from your email address, so a new account with the same address doesn’t get the welcome tokens again. Copies drop out of our backups within 35 days, and out of our logs within 30.

Your choices

  • Notifications: turn them off in Account, or in your device’s Settings.
  • Analytics on the website: in the EU, the UK, and Switzerland we ask before keeping PostHog’s ID or loading the TikTok pixel. Anyone can turn analytics off with the switch below. Off, visits are still counted anonymously, with nothing stored on your device.
  • Camera and photos: allow or remove access in your device’s Settings.
  • AI features: chatting with your pet and making prints and rugs are optional. In the app, you can turn AI features off in Account at any time. You can also stop using them, or delete your account.
  • Access, correction, and copies: send us a message and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to some uses, to ask us to limit them, or to complain to your data protection authority.

Children and teens

Digipet is for people 13 and over. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use it.

Digipet isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have, we delete it. Parents and guardians who believe their child under 13 has given us information can send us a message.

If you live in California and are under 18, you can ask us to remove content you’ve shared in Digipet, such as your pet’s name or a print you’ve gifted, by sending us a message. Removal may not be complete if others have already copied it.

Security and where data is stored

Data travels to and from Digipet over encrypted connections. We and the companies above store it on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can reach it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
